Why Is My Air Conditioner Blowing Warm Air?
Posted on July 26th, 2017
Air conditioning is essential during the hot summer months. That’s why it can be very frustrating when we find our vents are not blowing cool air. Fortunately, this can sometimes be an easy fix. Here are a few of the most common reasons why your air conditioning system will be blowing warm air.
Reason #1: You haven’t replaced your air filter recently.
When was the last time you change your home’s air filter? When airflow is restricted in your air conditioning system, it can cause your A/C to freeze up. As a result, you won’t have cold air blowing out of your vents.
Reason #2: Your thermostat isn’t set up correctly.
Check your home’s thermostat before giving us a call! If your thermostat is set to heat” or “on,” you may find that the fan is blowing air even when your air conditioning system isn’t running. This will cause warm air to blow out of your vents.
Reason #3: Your unit isn’t getting electricity.
If our outdoor condenser isn’t working, your system won’t be able to cool our home. Check to make sure that there is electricity running to your outdoor condenser. If your circuit breaker has tripped, your system won’t be able to run properly.
