The Benefits of Water Purification Systems
Posted on June 14th, 2016
Water purification is a hot topic here in the Phoenix Valley, but how do you know which system is right for you? With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to pick the water purification system that best fits your needs. Fortunately, with the right knowledge you can choose the perfect system for your home and family.
Hard water is full of minerals, including dissolved calcium and magnesium. While perfectly safe to drink, these minerals can cause scale to build up on the inside of your plumbing pipes and reduce your soap’s ability to lather. For shinier hair and shinier dishes you should consider a water softening system. These systems can be installed directly onto your water line as it enters your home. We even offer salt free systems.
Point of Use Systems
Point of use systems can be easily attached to your faucet or installed discreetly underneath your sink. There are two main types of point of use systems: reverse osmosis and filters. Reverse osmosis systems generally go underneath the sink and work by passing water through a membrane with tiny pores. The pores filter out inorganic chemicals like chloride and sulfate and allow clean water to pass through. Filters are more simple and are helpful for taking out larger particles, but not the ones dissolved in water.
