Tips for Unclogging the Toilet Without a Plunger
Posted on October 21st, 2015
Have a blocked up toilet, but don’t want to use a messy plunger? You’re in luck, because there are several ways to unclog the porcelain throne without touching a plunger at all. Below, we take a look at some of the most effective methods:
1. Dish soap
Pour a generous amount of dish soap into the toilet, and then add a gallon of very hot water. After a few minutes, the hot water should break down the toilet paper. The soap will help it then slide down the pipe. Repeat as necessary.
For a more natural approach, use these everyday items. Remove some of the water from the toilet bowl, and then add an ample amount of baking soda. Follow with white vinegar — about 1/2 cup — and be sure to pour slowly. Let sit for approximately 30 minutes, and then add a gallon of not-quite-boiling water.
